Hosting Transfer

Transferring web hosting to
IC-MyHost is transferring a website. It is divided into 2 types:

Step 1: Backup data from the old host

Backup your website data from the old host you are using by FTP to download the data to store on your computer.
In case your website uses a MySQL database, export the database using PHPMyAdmin (on the server).
In case the database is large and cannot be exported via PhpMyAdmin, contact the Host Admin (the old host administrator) to help dump the database for you.
In case you have emails stored on the old host, if you want to download them, you must use Microsoft Outlook or other Email Client programs. You can see an example of how to set up the Outlook program on page "User Manual How to set outlook - For windows server " , "User Manual How to set outlook - For linux server "The setup details may be slightly different. Please ask your original provider for the Outlook program setup method.

Step 2: Upload data to store on the host of IC-MyHost.Com

Upload the website data that you have backed up to store on the host of IC-MyHost.Com using the Ws FTP program. See how to upload on the page "Ws FTP User Manual - For windows server" , "Ws FTP User Manual - For linux server"
If your website uses MySQL database, go to Add MySQL in the Admin Control Panel page. See how to Add MySQL on the page "User Manual Creating a database - For linux server "
After adding MySQL, import the database using PHPMyAdmin (on the server)
In case you want to use email You will need to add Email User in the Admin Control Panel page. You can see how to add MySQL on the page "User Manual Creating Email User - For windows server " , "User Manual Creating Email User - For linux server " ,

Step 3: Edit the DNS of the domain name to point to IC-MyHost

So that the website can be used You will need to edit the DNS data of the domain name to point to the server of IC-My Host using the DNS value that the team will inform you after you have registered to use the service with IC-My Host and confirmed the transfer.
